Where to Buy THC Drinks: Online, In Stores, and What to Check First

Five years ago, buying a THC drink meant a dispensary in a legal-marijuana state. Today, hemp-derived Delta-9 drinks are sold at liquor stores, grocery chains, smoke shops, breweries, and — where state law allows — shipped straight to your door. The question isn't really where you can buy THC drinks anymore. It's how to tell a great one from a gas-station mystery can, wherever you're standing.
Your three buying options
- Local retail (liquor stores, groceries, smoke shops). The fastest option and increasingly common in open states like Florida, Georgia, Texas, and the Carolinas. The trade-offs: selection is usually a handful of SKUs, prices run higher per can, and quality control depends entirely on the buyer for that store.
- Dispensaries. In marijuana-legal states like California and Colorado, THC beverages live behind the dispensary counter — regulated, tested, and taxed accordingly. If you're in a dispensary-only state, that's your lane; hemp-derived drinks generally can't be shipped there.
- Online, shipped to your door. The widest selection, the easiest access to lab reports, and the best prices — where state law allows it. Hemp-derived Delta-9 drinks can legally ship to a majority of states under the 2018 Farm Bill; our shipping map lists all 35 states plus D.C. that we serve, and explains why the others are off the list.
The five-point check (this matters more than where you buy)
Wherever you buy, the same five checks separate the real category from the junk that gives it a bad name:
- A public lab report. A certificate of analysis (COA) from a third-party lab, batch-matched to the product, accessible before you pay. No COA, no purchase — this is non-negotiable. Every product we carry links its report on our lab results page.
- A clear milligram count. "Strong" is not a dose. You want the Delta-9 content per can printed plainly: 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, and so on.
- Hemp-derived Delta-9, named as such. Skip products leaning on converted or novelty cannabinoids with alphabet-soup names — several states (Georgia most recently) are actively outlawing them.
- A real brand with a real address. The good producers — Hometown Hero, Wyld, Torch, and their peers — stand behind their cans. White-label cans with a cartoon and no company info are exactly what they look like.
- 21+ enforcement. A seller that doesn't check age is telling you how carefully they handle everything else.
"THC drinks near me" — when local wins, and when online does
Local wins when you want a can tonight, and there's a store nearby whose buyer has done the homework. Online wins on everything else: multi-brand selection (we stock six brands and 90+ drinks in one place), doses from 2.5mg starters to heavy-shelf formats, published lab reports for every single item, and pricing that improves as you stack — our bundle savings apply automatically from $50 up.
Shipping legality depends on your state, not your zip code's nearest store: check whether you're in-zone on the where-we-ship page, and if you're curious why your state is or isn't listed, our state guides (Florida, North Carolina) walk through the local rules.
First order? Start here
If you're new to the category, don't overthink the first box: a few 2.5–5mg cans across two or three brands teaches you your dose and your taste in one order — the low-dose guide has our specific picks, and the dosing guide explains where to begin and why. Same-day dispatch, free shipping at $60, and every can lab-verified before it ever reaches the shelf.
